Welcome to Sluis

Welcome to Sluis, the city that has all the rights to count itself among one of the most attractive shopping, dining, and entertaining cities in Europe. In fact, there probably is no other city of its size offering the wonderful variety of shopping, dining, entertainment, and history.
As soon as you enter the city limits and visit the countless restaurants, shops, and historic sites you will feel as if you entered a different world; one where friendliness, old-times and new, blend into the perfect combination.

You will find fashion for all styles, picturesque boutiques, specialty stores, fresh produce supermarkets, world-class restaurants, and cozy terraces to soak-up the wonderful atmosphere of this bustling city. One of the most notable facts about Sluis is that unlike many other cities in the Netherlands and Belgium, all stores, shops, and restaurants are open seven days-a-week, including Sunday.

If shopping is not your most favorite past-time, Sluis has an extremely rich history and culture. Located in the border region with Belgium it has seen trade and historic events take place since the establishment of the town over 760 years ago. Find yourself going back in history by taking a walk across the historic ramparts with its restored gates, visit the windmill, and climb the tower of only belfry in the Netherlands to catch a view of the entire city.

As you can see, Sluis is well worth a visit.
We hope you see you soon
